HMS - Hero Mission Platform - How to use it

Workshops - Deliverables

Workshops will be ran in the Platform. Slite can be used as a support tool, but the deliverable and source of truth will be the platform itself. All the previous deliverables were imported into the platform as "Published" Responses.

When to use the platform?

    To check existing Heroes and Missions
    To create new Heroes and Missions
    To share with clients.
    To submit new entries to help AI get better results
    To generate content outlines for chapters and blog posts
    To run the workshop. HMS Workshops will be ran in the platform.

How to Log in to the Hero Mission Platform

PIC'sters:
  • Each AM / Strategist has it's super admin user. There is also a PIC login in 1Password with Super Admin privileges. This allows you to access all the sites within the Hero Mission Platform.
Clients:
  • Clients will have an Editor Access role for the sites they are members of. This will keep them from going into the backend of the platform.
To login, enter your user name and password. You will be redirected to one of the portals you have access to.


Creating a new instance in the platform

Hover over, "My Sites" > "Network Admin" and click on Sites.
Click, "Add New Site" Fill out the information and Create Site.

How PIC'sters access a client site

To access any site on the platform you can go to, "Network Admin > Sites"
A list of all sites will be displayed, click on "visit" on the one you want to visit


How to Add a Client User

You can add as many client users as you need to to the platform. Everyone who fills out a survey will need to be added as a user.
To add a new user, Navigate to your Client's Portal Dashboard.
In left sidebar, navigate to Add User and select, "Add New User".

Fill out the bottom part of the Add New User page but the bottom part.Make sure the Role is set to Editor.



Understanding the Hero Mission Dashboard

There are two content section on the Hero Mission Dashboard. The Heroes and Missions.
Heroes - This is where your developed Heroes will live. Allowing you to access the data within each Hero profile.
Missions - This is where your developed Missions live. Allowing you to access the data within each Mission Profile.


How to build a Hero & Mission

To create a new Hero or Mission, you will use the Hero Builder - Mission Builder link in the navigation dropdown in the top right of the screen.
In the Select Existing Hero /Mission dropdown select, "New Hero" or "New Mission"

Hero Builder & Mission Builder Forms

You can proceed to fill out the form. Note three very important fields. Your Name is required. This will differentiate submissions and assign the submission to the Platform user. The other is Email, also associated with the Platform user. You MUST be a user to complete this form.

Hero Form Highlights

The next critical field is the, "Select Existing Hero" field. Here, you will instruct the respondents what Hero they should be submitting data for. Or, a NEW Hero can be created by selecting, "Add New Hero".


Mission Form Highlights

As with the Hero form, you will select a specific Mission or create a new one.
After entering the first four fields related to the overall Mission, you will select a Hero's Perspective of the Mission for the remaining questions:

What Happens with the Form Entries?

The Form Entries will be accessible in the Platform and will be used to generate AI Summaries. You will see them as "Survey Responses"

Getting Hero / Mission Survey Results

Once you have a Hero or Mission created, you will want to get input from your team to help develop the profile. You should have added them as a user in a previous step.
To invite your team to fill out the survey forms, send them an email with links of the Hero or Mission you want data on. All the submitted survey data will live in the "Survey Response" tab for you to review. When you create AI Summaries, the AI will use this survey data.


How to view and edit content

From the Dashboard, click the Hero or the Mission you want to View or Edit:
Once you are on the Hero or Mission, you will have options for navigating and interacting with the content.

Screen Controls

These options will affect all the data boxes .
  • Published - Opens all the Published Tabs.
  • Survey Responses - Opens up the Survey Response tab so you can view all the Hero Builder Survey responses.
  • AI Generated - Opens the AI Generated tab to view all the AI Summaries of the Survey Responses.
  • Collapse All - Collapses all the data boxes.
  • Expand All - Opens all the data boxes.
  • Copy Ai to Published - Copies all the AI generated content to the published field.
  • Generate All - Generates AI Summaries for all the fields.

Data Block Controls

Control Descriptions:

  • Minus/Plus Icon - Expands and Collapses the data box
  • Published - Is the edited and source of truth for the field.
  • Edit Button - Allows you to edit the content in the data field.
  • Survey Responses - Contains all the responses submitted for this data box.
  • AI Generated - AI Summarization of the Survey Responses.
  • Generate AI Button - Will generate a new AI Description. Useful when you get additional responses.


Differences between Hero and Mission

The general layout of the Hero and Mission are the same but there are some key differences.

The Hero

At the bottom of the Hero, you can see all the Missions that Hero is assigned to.
The Hero's Data Navigation Sidebar includes the questions directly regarding the Hero profile and a list of the Missions that Hero is associated with.

The Mission

The Mission's Data Navigation Sidebar includes the Mission Survey Responses, the Responses from the Hero's perspective and the Storyboard Chapters.
Note: Be aware of what Hero you have selected as you navigate the Hero's Perspective data boxes.


The Story

The Story Object is directly tied to the Mission and the Heroes associated with that Mission. Every Mission has one story located at the end of the Mission.
Once you have the Mission built with all your responses summarized by AI, and the AI summaries proofed, improved, edited and published to the Published field, you can generate a Storyboard.
Generating a story will create 6 chapters.
Chapter boxes can be collapsed of expanded with the Plus/Minus icon in the middle (When closed) or top right hand corner (When opened) .

There are thee tools you can engage with in the chapter box.
  • The Pencil Icon - Allows you to Edit the Chapter Title and the Treatment.
  • Generate Blog Posts - Will generate three content topics for this chapter.
  • Generate Single Post - Will generate a single content topic for this chapter.

Adding clients to your quick list

This will provide you a list of all the sites within the platform.
If you want to add a site to your quick dropdown list
you can do that by:
    Navigating to the sites list as described above.
